Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is excited to bring back our Magic Camp Workshop with Mike Della Penna for a 7th straight year. Master magician Mike Della Penna, aided by several special guests, leads students of any level, age or ability through five days of learning and laughter.

Every Magic Camper will receive a magic book and all the materials necessary for the course. The workshop will help campers learn to perform new magical effects, improve your performing skills and make friends as interested in magic as you are! Sign up quickly as Magic Camp will fill up fast! Only $250.00 per week.

Magic Camp - 2016

In our five days together campers will:

Receive a magic book and all the materials necessary for the whole week's course.
Learn to perform a multitude of magical effects that really work.
Become a better performer as we explore concepts such as character, scripting and choice of material.
Delve into the history of magic as we learn about some of its most colorful characters.
Learn from several special guest magicians. (Different guest magicians each week!)
Have fun and make friends!

Magic Camp Jr. - 2016

Designed for those with smaller hands:

Playland's Magic Camp Jr. A magic camp for young budding magicians 5 to 7 years old is also available this year. Offered 2:00pm - 4:00pm Tuesday and Thursday the same weeks as Magic Camp. $30.00 for one session or $50.00 for both sessions during same week.

Receive all the materials necessary for the class.
Designed for those attending one or two days per session.
A great combination of magic and crafts by learning to make their own tricks.
Not only is Mike a magician, he is also a second grade teacher, so he knows how to keep it fun and educational for our younger campers.
Have fun and make friends!

After Care is Available

Your camper can stay after Magic Camp or Magic Junior to enjoy all that Playland-Not-At-The-Beach has to offer. Campers will be supervised by Playland's amazing staff while they get to play all the Playland games, enjoy a treasure hunt*, a craft project* and much more. After Care is available for after your camper's Magic session until 5:00pm.
*Not included with Magic Camp Jr. Aftercare.

After Care for Magic Camp: $200.00 for entire week
After Care for Magic Junior: $20.00 for one day or $30.00 for both days

Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program

Playland-Not-at-the-Beach's Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program is a great way for youth ages 14 and older to learn responsibility, leadership, and interpersonal skills. CITs are neither paid staff nor do they pay to attend a CIT session; they are volunteering to help Playland's Magic Camp Teachers and Staff Members. Though CITs will often be expected to work on their own, they will be supervised by Playland Staff.
