Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is an ideal location for your next party or event.

Northern California's most unique venue — a 9000 square foot emporium chock-full of amazing things to see and do! Best of all, each event is customized to meet the needs of our guests. We host great parties for senior citizens, toddlers, and everyone in-between. Great for birthday parties and reunions where you want to bring every generation together to have fun!

A party at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach typically lasts 3 hours and can include all of the following:

30+ Pinball Machines set on FREE Play
2 Rooms full of Antique Penny Arcade games set on FREE Play
FREE Carnival games where you can win prizes
Treasure Hunt where guests work in teams to find clues
All historic attractions and exhibits
FREE Juke Box with 2000 songs
FREE Movies in our intimate theater
Use of a room where your guests can socialize and eat
FREE Parking in our spacious, new parking lot
Live magic show (free with larger parties)
Customized Party invitations (free with larger parties)
Hosts and volunteers to assist guests throughout the event
You provide food and beverages, decorations, paper plates, napkins and utensils
You can have food delivered or hold a potluck meal or use our oven, range, refrigerator, freezer and microwave ovens.

"The Fun House Party"

$150.00 for up to 10 guests ($15 for each additional person)

Our "Fun House Party" is a 3-hour event for guests of all ages. The event includes free use of all 30+ pinball machines, the Penny Arcade, free juke box (with 2000 songs), and all exhibits and attractions. Guests can play carnival games and win prizes. The event includes a room where guests can socialize and serve their own food and beverages. This party is available every night of the year starting as early as 5 PM, or it may be held Saturdays, Sundays and holidays when we are open to the public (10 AM to 5 PM). A basic magic show can be included, or you may upgrade to a deluxe show for an added fee (depending on availability of performers). There is a $100 charge for each additional hour beyond 3 hours or for parties that are scheduled to end later than 10 PM.

"The Laughing Sal Party"

$ 300.00 for 20 guests ($10 for each additional person)

Our "Laughing Sal Party" is a 3-hour event for 20 or more guests of all ages at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach and includes free use of 30+ pinball machines, the Penny Arcade, free juke box (with 2000 songs), PLUS free customized invitations, a live magic show and all exhibits and attractions. Guests can play free carnival games and win prizes. The event includes a private room where guests can serve their own food and beverages and socialize. This party is available every night of the year starting as early as 5 PM, or it may be held Saturdays, Sundays and holidays when we are open to the public between 10 AM and 5 PM. There is a $100 additional charge for each additional hour beyond 3 hours or for parties that are scheduled to end later than 10 PM.

"Playland Exclusive Party"

$ 350.00 for 20 guests ($10 for each additional guest)

Partygoers will have the exclusive use of Playland-Not-at-the-Beach for 3 hours. There will be no other guests at the same time! This event includes 30+ free pinball machines, the Penny Arcade, free juke box (with 2000 songs), free customized invitations, a free magic show, and all exhibits and attractions. Guests can play free carnival games and win prizes. Trained docents will lead your group through the 20+ exhibits. This event can be customized to fit the ages and interests of the guests, from children to seniors. Choose from Treasure Hunts, Carnival Games, Pinball Tournaments, a Haunted Manor Séance Adventure, and a range of other exciting options. This event includes exclusive use of the Penny Arcade Lunch Room and the Midway Party Center for guests to socialize and enjoy their own food and beverages. This party is available every night of the year starting as early as 5 PM. We can even suggest caterers if you want to add a meal to the event. There is a $100 charge for each additional hour beyond the 3 hours or for parties that are scheduled to last later than 10 PM.

To inquire about holding an event at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach, please call (510) 232-4264 ext.#24. The first step is to select an available date so we can put a reserve on it, at which point a 50% down payment is required. Full payment is expected two days before the actual event. We can also suggest entertainers (magicians, clowns, face painters, stilt walkers, dancers, mentalists, tarot card readers. etc.) if you want to add some spice and excitement to your event.
