September 4, 1972 was the final day of operation for Whitney's Playland at the Beach out at Ocean Beach.

We will be conducting behind the scenes tours showing how we built his museum and we will also be looking for volunteers to carry on the tradition. There will be special treats and contests for everyone. We're all indoors so who cares about the weather. Bring the kids and the grandkids too — Grandparents and Parents are always welcome.

Have you ever said to yourself, "I have an itch to see a flea circus?" Well, you can now scratch that itch with Professor B's Flea Circus. Professor B has been training fleas from around the world for many years and has put together the most amazing congress of unusual acts you have ever seen.

Bring your camera, these little fellows are not shy!

"Remembering Playland"
Relive the good old days at Whitney's Playland with this terrific documentary featuring archival footage and rare photographs. Located next to Ocean Beach, Playland was torn down in 1972, but you can go back in time to see Laughing Sal, the Fun House, the Carousel, the Big Dipper, the Diving Bell, Dark Mystery, Limbo, Fun-tier Town, and much, much more, all through the eyes of the people that were there. The first and only documentary ever made about Playland.
