Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and volunteers are very important to our organization. Playland-Not-at-the-Beach welcomes volunteers every weekend and occasionally during the week and evenings. Since we are a Museum of Fun, we are always looking for volunteers who love parties,

games, and working with "kids" of all ages. Volunteer opportunities are available for families, youth, teens, adults, senior citizens and groups.

Volunteering at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is a fun way to make friends, give back to the community, learn responsibility, raise self-esteem and improve social skills. Playland-Not-at-the-Beach also works with local organizations and schools to insure that our volunteer opportunities can be counted as community service hours.

Here is a partial list of currently available projects:

Carnival Games Operator
We need volunteers to run our games, give out winning tickets, and help with prize redemption. This volunteer opportunity is available when Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is open to the public and when we have private parties. Open to ages 6-years and older (parent/guardian must volunteer with children) and great for groups. Volunteer training is available every Saturday and Sunday beginning at 10:00am until 2:00pm (all Carnival Game Operators must go through this training before volunteering at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach).
Gardener
We need a few volunteers for occasional garden care for the plants, trees, and flowers in our landscaped parking lot. This volunteer opportunity is available when Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is not open to the public. Open to ages 14-years and older (parent/guardian must volunteer with children).
Docents
We need volunteers to give guided tours of Playland-Not-at-the-Beach to our guests and visitors. This volunteer opportunity is available when Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is open to the public. Open to ages 18-years and older.
Cleaning, Carpentry & Painting
We need a few volunteers for occasional facility deep cleaning, special carpentry projects, and painting projects. This volunteer opportunity is available when Playland-Not-at-the-Beach in not open to the public. Open to ages 18-years and older.
Game Tester
We need a few volunteers to test our games insuring they are in proper working order. This volunteer opportunity is available when Playland-Not-at-the-Beach in not open to the public. Open ONLY to expert pinball players ages 18-years and older.

We can use volunteers almost every weekend. It's a great way to make new friends, get some exercise, and feel good about yourself. Bring a big smile with you to share with others. Our volunteers are from every walk of life and every level of education. The common denominator is we're all kids at heart.
