Fabulous Frank was born Frank Biafore III in Meriden, Connecticut. For years he had assisted in presenting magic shows at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach, but always in the hen-pecked sidekick role. "Shall we torture Frank??!"

One afternoon on a trip back home to visit family on the East Coast, he was pressed into action by his mother to "entertain your young nephews before we all go stir crazy." Frank grabbed a salt shaker and the edge of the table cloth in the restaurant, and a magician was born!" Once he returned to California, Frank joined the Oakland Magic Circle and started watching magic more closely.

When one of the in-house magicians at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach became ill in 2010, Frank began taking over performing some of the shows. He began taking magic classes and worked on developing his stage persona, primarily thanks to magic and comedy coaching from Mike Della Penna, Magical Nathaniel, Jerry Barrillieaux, Scott Alcalay, and Tony Barbosa. Soon a real performer was on the way!
